Most of Heiritance is just notes — "password is in the Vault" or "will is in the fireproof safe." But when you need to store actual credentials, the Vault encrypts everything on your device before it reaches our servers. We never see it. No one does — except whoever has the passcode.

When you create a Vault passcode, it never leaves your device. We don't see it, store it, or have any way to recover it.
Everything is encrypted before it leaves your device
Your device encrypts your secrets using your passcode before anything reaches our servers. What we store is unreadable — to us and everyone else.
Only the passcode unlocks it
When you — or someone you've shared it with — need access, the passcode decrypts everything on your device. Without it, the data stays locked.
No backdoor. No recovery.
This is the trade-off for real security. If you lose your passcode, we can't help — by design. Store it somewhere safe or share it with someone you trust completely.
